Parent/Child Dedication

The next Parent Child Dedication will take place on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 21, 2020. Invite friends and relatives to be here to share your special day. If you have not dedicated a child before, we ask that you attend a Parent/Child Dedication Class led by Pastor Todd Jones. More details on this class will be made available soon.

Parent/Child Dedication Guidelines of First Baptist Middleburg

Children are a gift from God. At First Baptist Church of Middleburg we want to offer you the opportunity to dedicate your “gift” to Him. This is a special time in your family’s life and your child and we want to make it as memorable as possible. The following guidelines will apply to those participating in a Parent/Child Dedication Service and were implemented in August 2010.
  1. The parents of the child to be dedicated must be professing Christians and members of First Baptist Church of Middleburg.
  2. We believe in the sanctity of marriage. Therefore, the parents wishing to dedicate their child should be dedicated to each other in marriage. However, we lovingly welcome a single Christian parent who wishes to dedicate themselves to raising their child in a godly, Christian environment.
  3. We require all parents bringing their children to be dedicated, to attend a class led by Pastor Todd Jones
  4. We do ask that reservations are made within a certain time period. Please understand that after the set deadline has passed, we will ask that you wait and dedicate your child at the next Parent/Child Dedication.
The Bible teaches that parents have primary responsibility for teaching their children about God. We at First Baptist Church of Middleburg feel blessed to support you.
